General description

Atrazine-desethyl is one of the metabolites of atrazine. Atrazine-desethyl is primarily used as a selective pre- and postemergence herbicide, which helps in controlling grassy weeds.

Application

Atrazine-desethyl may be used as a herbicide reference standard for the determination of analyte in aqueous solutions by an automated thermal desorption-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method based on the use of stir bar sorptive extraction.
