General description

Isofenphos is classified under the organophosphorus family of pesticides widely utilized for pest control in agricultural industry.

Application

Isofenphos may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the pesticide in:
  • Animal liver samples by gas chromatography coupled to electron ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-EI-MS/MS) operating with triple quadrupole (QqQ) analyzer.
  • Food samples by GC-QqQ-MS/MS as well as GC in conjunction with ion-trap tandem mass spectrometry (IT-MS/MS).
  • Olive oil samples by size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) extraction followed by GC-MS.
