General description
6-Mercaptopurine (6-MP) is a purine analog, frequently prescribed for treating childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It is also extensively used in the treatment of corticosteroid dependent inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) or the Crohn′s disease.
Application
6-Mercaptopurine (6-MP) may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in biological samples by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) technique.
