General description

Prothiofos belongs to the organophosphorus class of pesticides.

Application

Prothiofos may be used as an analytical reference standard for the analysis of prothiofos in:
  • Fruits and vegetables by gas chromatography-high resolution accurate mass spectrometry (GC-HRAMS) with electron ionization (EI).
  • Cereals by QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe) extraction method and GC coupled to triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (MS/MS).
  • Agricultural products by GC-MS/MS working in multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode of detection.
  • Spices by citrate buffer QuEChERS extraction method in conjunction with enhanced matrix removal-lipid (EMR-lipid) and sample dilution approach followed by analysis using GC-MS/MS.
  • Avocado and almond by QuEChERS and ethyl acetate extraction methods followed by analysis using GC-MS/MS.
