General description
Differential ID Membrane is a substrate-carrying ID membrane used for rapid identification and differentiation of lactose fermenting and lactose non-fermenting enteric bacteria through characteristic color reactions. The membranes contain chromogenic substrates, which serve as the basis for microbe differentiation by color. The principle is based on a specific substrate enzyme reaction in which specific lactose fermenting organisms will exhibit dark pink color.
Application
Differential ID Membrane is used for rapid detection & confirmation of lactose fermenting and lactose non-fermenting enteric bacteria in water and food samples. They find their application in various sectors such as the food and dairy industry, water industry, pharmaceutical laboratory testing, cosmetic industry, environmental and sanitary testing, clinical diagnostic, etc.
