General description

Molecular sieves are in the form of the rods having pore diameter of 4Å. It participates in the synthesis of ecteinascidin 743 (a potential marine-derived antitumor agent).

Application

Molecular sieves, 4 Å may be employed in the synthesis of methyl 8-methylnon-6-enoate and methyl 8-methylnonanoate.
Molecules with an effective diameter of 4 Å, including H2O, H2S, CO2, SO2, C2H4 and C3H6 are adsorbed.
