General description
This polystyrene-based microparticle (size: 15 μm) size standard is ideal for profiling particle size distribution (PSD) of test samples.
Application
Used to standardize and monitor particle size analyzers and surface scanning instruments.
Also used to:
Also used to:
- standardize flow measurements of pumps used in lab-on-a-chip and point of care devices
- characterize counting accuracy and sizing measurements of impedance microfluidic chip
- optimize time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) sample preparation based on size-dependent analysis
- Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
Features and Benefits
- suitable for routine instrument calibration checks, testing and corrections
- available in 5 mL and 10 mL pack sizes as neat samples
Analysis Note
For every lot exact values of particle size and standard deviation are determined with an accuracy of 0.01 μm using a Coulter Multisizer.

We show how an asymmetric elasto-magnetic system provides a novel integrated pumping solution for lab-on-a-chip and point of care devices. This monolithic pumping solution, inspired by Purcell's 3-link swimmer, is integrated within a simple microfluidic device, bypassing the requirement of
