Sreemanti Das et al.
Colloids and surfaces. B, Biointerfaces, 101, 325-336 (2012-09-27)
The capability of crude ethanolic extracts of certain medicinal plants like Phytolacca decandra, Gelsemium sempervirens, Hydrastis canadensis and Thuja occidentalis used as homeopathic mother tinctures in precipitating silver nanoparticles from aqueous solution of silver nitrate has been explored. Nanoparticles thus

Colloids and surfaces. B, Biointerfaces, 105, 87-91 (2013-01-29)
Stable AgNPs were formed in vitro by reacting AgNO3 (aq) solution with the aqueous plant leaf extract. UV-vis revealed the surface plasmon resonance λmax at 448 nm and the absorbance steadily increased in intensity as a function of reaction time.

Biomacromolecules, 15(10), 3655-3663 (2014-08-28)
In this work, flexible and free-standing composite films of nanofibrillated cellulose/polypyrrole (NFC/PPy) and NFC/PPy-silver nanoparticles (NFC/PPy-Ag) have been synthesized for the first time via in situ one-step chemical polymerization and applied in potential biomedical applications. Incorporation of NFC into PPy
