General description

“Abberior” LIVE 580 is one of the members of the new class of live-cell dyes. The striking feature of this dye series is related to their cell permeability, enabling live-cell experiments. These are designed for live-cell STED and confocal microscopy. The NHS ester is a widespread tool for conjugating a fluorescent dye to a protein or antibody. NHS ester can be used to label primary amines of proteins or amine-modified molecules. The resulting abberior conjugate will show a bright fluorescence and photostability.

Application

Designed and tested for fluorescent super-resolution microscopy

Features and Benefits

  • Fluorescent dyes are utilized for physical/chemical research purposes, spectroscopy, and optical microscopy in biological and biomedical applications.
  • High photostability.
  • Abberior LIVE 580 can be excited between 580 and 620 nm.
  • Combine highest brightness and photostability with effortless live-cell labeling.
  • Transfection and washing steps are not required.
