General description
Produced and qualified by Indoor Biotechnologies.
Source: Carolina Shrimp (see Note 3 for species information)
Formulation: Preservative-free and carrier-free in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4. Sterile filtered.
Concentration: See product insert.
Purification: From boiled shrimp extract by affinity chromatography. Purity on silver stained SDS-PAGE >95%.
Note:
(1) Additional bands below 36kD represent tropomyosin fragments.
(2) Avoid repeated Freeze/Thaw cycles. It is recommended to aliquot the product upon first thaw and freeze in working aliquot volumes.
(3) There are generally two species, the white (L.setiferus) and brown (F. aztecus) shrimp that overlap in seasons in the Carolina waters. Pink shrimp (F. duorarum) also occur, especially in North Carolina catches. Because of the overlap of three different species, we cannot specify the species, most likely it is a mixture.
