General description
This proficiency testing sample is produced in accordance with ISO/IEC 17043:2010. All information regarding the use of this material can be found in the reporting packet supplied for each sample.
Preparation Note
The sample consists of one PUF (polyurethane foam) plug that has been spiked with Pesticides.
Sample preparation
Remove plug from the 20 mL VOA vial. Use caution, free liquid may be present.
Place the PUF plug into the extraction glassware to be used.
Rinse the VOA vial that contained the PUF plug with the extraction solvent to be used at least three times to transfer the entire contents of the vial.
Extract the sample using your normal procedures.

Proficiency testing samples are presented as single blind. No values for the samples are released until the testing period concludes. Values of analytes vary lot to lot.
