General description

Copper(II) nitrate hemi(pentahydrate) is an inorganic copper salt.

Application

Copper(II) nitrate hemi(pentahydrate) may be employed as copper precursor for the preparation of thin film of Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS). It may be used in the preparation of 4-methoxypyridine-(pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylato-N,O,O′)copper(II) and in the synthesis of coordination pillared-layer frameworks (CPLs), particularly CPL-1, via mechanochemical method.
