General description
Lithium sulfate monohydrate is a colorless crystalline lithium salt. Its solubility in water decreases with a rise in temperature. It can be synthesized by the dissolution of lithium carbonate in sulfuric acid. A kinetic model has been proposed to investigate the dehydration of Li2SO4.H2O. Monte-Carlo simulation of the various processes (nucleation and growth) involved in its dehydration has been evaluated. Neutron-diffraction investigations of LiSO4.H2O have been reported.
