General description

Sodium acetate trihydrate (SAT) is a hydrated sodium salt of acetic acid. It is an excellent inorganic phase change material (PCM) due to its high energy storage density and thermal conductivity, widely used in the sector of dyeing, printing, pharmacy and buffering agent.
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which belong to one of the four categories of greener alternatives. Sodium acetate trihydrate supports sustainable technologies as an eco-friendly phase change material for thermal energy storage, offering efficient heat retention and release while reducing energy waste and promoting cleaner energy solutions.Click here for more information.

Application

Sodium acetate trihydrate can be used:
  • As a reducing agent in the synthesis of graphene nanosheets via chemical reduction of GO (graphene oxide) under moderate condition.
  • In the preparation of silicone/sodium acetate trihydrate hybrid.
  • As a catalyst in the solvent free acetylation of phenols, alcohols and thiols with acetic anhydride.
