General description

Manganese(II) chloride tetrahydrate is a manganese salt. Its toxicity has been evaluated in Swiss mice.[1]

Application

Manganese(II) chloride tetrahydrate may be used in the synthesis of manganese(II) tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine (ntb) complexes[2] and active manganese dioxide.[3] It may be used as a catalyst for microwave assisted synthesis of substituted 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones.[4]
