General description

The monitoring of ethanol levels is very important in control of fermentation processes and in certification of alcoholic beverages.

Application

Ethanol has been used in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles.
It may be used in the following studies:
  • Hydrothermal synthesis of single crystal ZnO nanorod.
  • Synthesis of N-(N′dodecylcarboxamidomethyl)N,N,dimethyl ammonio propane sulfonates.
  • As a solvent for the cytofluorimetric analysis.
  • Preparation of TiO2 colloid (particle size = 20nm).

Other Notes

1Distribution and use of ethyl alcohol in Switzerland require a license from the Swiss Federal Alcohol Administration
sales restrictions may apply
