General description

Nickel(II) nitrate hexahydrate (Ni(NO3)2.6H2O) is a hydrated nickel(II) salt. Its thermal degradation has been investigated by thermogravimetric methods under quasi-isothermal conditions.[1]

Application

Nickel(II) nitrate hexahydrate may be used as precursor for the synthesis of [Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 powders[2] and Ni (II) oxide aerogels.[3]
