Application
Sulfuric acid may be employed in the following studies:
- As a medium to investigate the self- assembling of cellular organization in porous anodic alumina.
- For acidification in headspace gas chromatographic (HS-GC) quantification of carbonyl in lignins.
- Synthesis of reduced graphene oxide (RGO), via sonication-mediated oxidation of graphite.
- For digestion of samples during quantitative detection of mercury in water by cold-vapour atomic absorption technique.
General description
The Product is ∼30% solution of sulfuric acid in water. Sulfuric acid is a strong mineral acid. It participates as a medium in the anodic oxidation of aniline at a platinum electrode. Anodic oxidation has been reported to proceed via a free radical mechanism and octamer emeraldimine has been obtained as a major product.
