Activated charcoal (activated carbon) has been used to prepare Pd/N-doped activated carbon (Pd/N-AC) employed for perchlorate decomposition. It was also used as a sorbent for nucleotides during the dispersive solid phase extraction (DSPE) based purification of Lactococcus lactis extract.
