General description
Biotin-coated magnetic microparticles are a particle size standard, ideal for particle size distribution (PSD) analysis of a particle system.
The accurate diameter of 1 μm is determined by methods described by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST, USA), such as:
The measuring instruments are calibrated using standards obtained from the Community Bureau of Reference (BCR, Belgium: Standards RM 165, 166 or 167) and from the NIST (SRM 1690, 1691 or 1692). This product comprises superparamagnetic polystyrene particles.
