Analysis Note

Atto-Dino 2 is a cell permeable homodimer. In aqeous solution it does not show any fluorescence. In presence of DNA it shows a bright fluorescence with quantum yield above 70%. Maximum of absorption lies at 506 nm, exctinction coefficient 162000 M^-1cm^-1. Maximum of emission shifts from 529 nm to 576 nm if bound to DNA.
