General description
Angiotensin I is part of the renin-angiotensin system which regulates blood pressure by blood vessel constriction. Ang1 does not have biological activity but is a precursor to angiotensin II which is converted by ACE.
Rabbit anti-angiotensin I antibody does not cross-react with angiotensin II or angiotensin III by RIA. However, the antibody cross-reacts with Asn1-Val5-Angiotensin I.
Immunogen
angiotensin l-Asp1-lle5-BSA.
Application
Rabbit anti-angiotensin I antibody can be used for radioimmunoassay at a dilution of 1:10.
Preparation Note
Reconstitute with 5 mL buffer: 0.15 M phosphate buffer, pH 7.5, 0.03 M EDTA, 0.1% human serum albumin and 0.1% sodium azide. Store the reconstituted stock at −20 °C. Working dilutions to be discarded if unused within 12 hours.
