General description
ACTR associates with estrogen receptors in breast and ovarian cancers and stimulates transcription. Hence, ACTR has been implicated in the carcinogenesis of breast and ovarian tumors. Mouse monoclonal Anti-ACTR/AIB1 antibody recognizes human ACTR (150kD) and another doublet (110kD) by immunoblotting.
ACTR, a nuclear receptor coactivator, is also referred to as amplified in breast cancer 1 (AIB1), thyroid hormone receptor activator molecule-1 (TRAM-1), receptor-associated coactivator 3 (RAC3 and SRC3).
Immunogen
GST fusion protein containing amino acids 605-1294 of human ACTR.
Application
Mouse monoclonal can be used for immunoprecipitation (15μL using 500μg of a BG-1 ovarian cell RIPA lysate) and western blot (1:500, using RIPA lysates of BG-1 ovarian cancer cells) assays.
Physical form
The product is supplied as mouse ascites fluid, containing 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide

Members of the recently recognized SRC-1 family of transcriptional coactivators interact with steroid hormone receptors to enhance ligand-dependent transcription. AIB1, a member of the SRC-1 family, was cloned during a search on the long arm of chromosome 20 for genes
