General description

Aph-1aL is a γ secretase subunit that facilitates the cleavage of several integral membrane proteins such as β-APP and Notch. Aph-1aL abnormalities have been associated with the risk of Alzheimer′s disease.
Rabbit Anti-Aph-1aL antibody recognizes Aph-1aL (30 kDa). Additional bands at approx. 46kDa and 20kDa may be observed in some cell extracts, which may represent Aph-1aL aggregation and degradation products, respectively.
This sequence is identical in mouse Aph-1aL and not found in Aph-1aS and Aph-1b.

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 246-265 located at the C-terminus of human Aph-1aL.

Application
