Gene Information

General description

Myb-related protein B/v-Myb myeloblastosis viral oncogene homolog (avian)-like 2 (MyBL2), a MYB family member, is a transcription factor involved in the regulation of cyclin A/cyclin-dependent kinase 2-dependent cell cycle progression. MyBL2 is implicated in the development and maintenance of the stem cell phenotype with a role in the proliferation and differentiation of several cell types. MYBL2 plays a subtle but key role in linking specific aspects of cell-cycle progression with generation of signals for differentiation. MYBL2 is implicated in human malignancies such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Rabbit polyclonal anti-MyBL2 antibody reacts with canine, rat, zebrafish, bovine, chicken, and human Myb-related protein B/v-Myb myeloblastosis viral oncogene homolog (avian)-like 2 transcription factors.

Immunogen

The immunogen for anti-MYBL2 antibody: synthetic peptide derected towards the N terminal of human MYBL2

Application

Anti-MyBL2 antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a working concentration of 0.5-1.0 μg/ml. A concentration of 4-8 μg/ml may be used for immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
Rabbit polyclonal anti-MyBL2 antibody is used to tag Myb-related protein B/v-Myb myeloblastosis viral oncogene homolog (avian)-like 2 for detection and quantitation by immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to determine the presence and roles of myb-related protein B/v-Myb myeloblastosis viral oncogene homolog (avian)-like 2 in cell-cycle progression and differentiation.
