Gene Information
human ... E2F5(1875)
General description
The members of E2F family of transcription factors bind to promoter regions and regulate cell proliferation.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human E2F5
Application
Anti-E2F5 antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 0.4 μg/ml.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Overexpression of E2F5 has been reported in solid tumors of breast, ovarian, colon and hepatocellular carcinoma. It is a transcription repressor with regulatory roles in cell proliferation, growth and cell cycle progression.
Physical form
Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.
Other Notes
Synthetic peptide located within the following region: KAEIEDLELKERELDQQKLLLQQSIKNVMDDSINNRFSYVTHEDICNCFN
