Gene Information

human ... CITED2(10370)

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human CITED2

Biochem/physiol Actions

Cbp/p300-interacting transactivator, with Glu/Asp-rich carboxy-terminal domain, 2 (CITED2) is a transcriptional modulator that inhibits the transactivation of HIF1A-induced genes. It is required for the regulation of glycolysis in adult hematopoietic stem cells. Mutations and hypermethylation of CITED2 gene has been implicated in pediatric congenital heart disease. CITED2 acts as a molecular switch of TGF-α- and -β-induced cell growth.

Physical form

Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.

Other Notes

Synthetic peptide located within the following region: ADHMMAMNHGRFPDGTNGLHHHPAHRMGMGQFPSPHHHQQQQPQHAFNAL
