human ... AATF(26574)
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human AATF
Biochem/physiol Actions
AATF (Apoptosis antagonizing transcription factor) is a leucine zipper containing transcription factor with a strong transctivation activity. It has been reported as a nucleolar stress sensor and a cofactor that mediates c-Jun-mediated apoptosis. AATF also acts as a modulator of p53-mediated apoptosis in response to DNA damage.
Physical form
Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.

Following genotoxic stress, cells activate a complex signalling network to arrest the cell cycle and initiate DNA repair or apoptosis. The tumour suppressor p53 lies at the heart of this DNA damage response. However, it remains incompletely understood, which signalling

The AP-1 transcription factor c-Jun has been shown to be essential for stress-induced apoptosis in several models. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the proapoptotic activity of c-Jun are poorly understood. We identify the apoptosis-antagonizing transcription factor (AATF) as a novel
