Biochem/physiol Actions
Nuclear receptor subfamily 1, group H, member 2 (NR1H2), also known as liver X receptor β (LXRB), is a nuclear receptor that forms heterodimers with retinoid X receptors to regulate gene expression. The members of LXR family are involved in inflammation, macrophage activation and lipid metabolism. Polymorphisms in NR1H2 are associated with preeclampsia, atherosclerosis and Alzheimer′s disease.
