Gene Information

human ... FGFR1OP(11116)

General description

FGFR1 oncogene partner is a protein encoded by the FGFR1OP gene in humans. The fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1) oncogene partner called FOP is a centrosomal protein that is involved in the anchoring of microtubules (MTS) to subcellular structures.

Immunogen

Synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human FGFR1OP

Application

Anti-FGFR1OP (AB1) antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 1μg/mL.

Biochem/physiol Actions

FGFR1OP (FGFR1 oncogene partner)/FOP encodes a hydrophilic centrosomal protein predominantly expressd in heart, liver, muscle, kidney, intestine, colon, adrenal gland, prostate, testis and pancreas. It interacts with EB1 and facilitates the microtubules anchoring to the centrosomes. It plays an important role in normal proliferation and differentiation of the erythroid lineage. Attenuation of Fgfr1 disrupts cochlear hair cell formation.

Physical form

Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.
