Carboxypeptidase P has been purified by immunoaffinity chromatography from pig kidneys. A single-step assay with Z-Pro-Met (where Z represents benzyloxycarbonyl) as substrate was used, methionine being determined by using L-amino acid oxidase and horseradish peroxidase.
