Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal end of domain-III of the large subunit of human m-calpain (calpain-II, protein kinase C activating factor, E.C. 3.4.22.17).

Biochem/physiol Actions

Recognizes latent and active m-calpain. Binds the reduced and non-reduced protein. Identifies bands at 80 kDa, 58 kDa, and a series of further cleaved active forms.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, containing 50% glycerol and 0.05% sodium azide.
