General description
Whatman® Nuclepore track-etched membrane filters offer a highly defined pore size cutoff in the sub-micron range, enabling particle deformity measurement and capture of extremely small particles. These membranes come in a range of pores sizes and diameters and are also available in sheet format. Whatman Nuclepore membranes are suitable for a wide range of sample types and applications, including bioassays, microscopy, cytology, parasitology, certain air and oceanography analyses, cell biology and environment analysis. Available in both hydrophilic and hydrophobic varieties.
Nuclepore track-etched polycarbonate membranes are manufactured from high-quality polycarbonate film and have sharply defined pore sizes, high flow rates, and excellent chemical and thermal resistance. The membranes have a smooth flat surface and exhibit very low levels of extractables.
The hydrophilic membrane filters are manufactured from high-quality polycarbonate film track-etched (PFTE) membrane for high nominal pore size precision and are treated with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP).
