Exo2 acts as a chemical probe of intracellular transport.
Exo2 acts as a chemical probe of intracellular transport. Edxo2 has activities similar to Brefeldin A with membrane trafficking to the Golgi appartus, but appears more selective.
Exo2 is a bioactive small molecule that activates Golgi-endoplasmic reticulum (ER) fusion in mammals by distorting the Golgi apparatus. It prevents the release of secretory cargo from the ER. Exo2 do not modify the morphology of the trans-Golgi network (TGN). It also inhibits the anterograde movement of vesicular stomatitis virus G (VSV G) glycoprotein, from ER to Golgi.

Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a common signal molecule initiating transcriptional responses to all the known biotic and abiotic stresses of land plants. However, the degree of involvement of H2O2 in these stress responses has not yet been well studied. Here

Although major improvements have been made in surgical management, chemotherapeutic, and radiotherapeutic of prostate cancer, many prostate cancers remain refractory to treatment with standard agents. Therefore, the identification of new molecular targets in cancer progression and development of novel therapeutic

The small-molecule inhibitor Exo2 {4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydrol[1]benzothieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-yl)hydraz-one benzaldehyde} has been reported to disrupt the Golgi apparatus completely and to stimulate Golgi-ER (endoplasmic reticulum) fusion in mammalian cells, akin to the well-characterized fungal toxin BFA (brefeldin A). It has also been reported that

Cholera toxin (CT) follows a glycolipid-dependent entry pathway from the plasma membrane through the trans-Golgi network (TGN) to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) where it is retro-translocated into the cytosol to induce toxicity. Whether access to the Golgi apparatus is necessary
