General description

FEN-1 (C-terminal) encodes a protein that removes 5′ overhanging flaps in DNA repair and processes the 5′ ends of Okazaki fragments in lagging strand DNA synthesis. Direct physical interaction between this protein and AP endonuclease 1 during long-patch b

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 367-380 of human FEN-1, conjugated to KLH via an N-terminal added cysteine residue. The corresponding sequence in rat and mouse differs by one and two amino acids, respectively.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
