Application

Anti-FBI-1/Pokemon antibody is suitable for immunoprecipitation at a concentration of 2-4μL using A431 cell lysates and western blot (chemiluminescent) at a dilution of 1:4,000-1:6,000 using K-562 lysates.

Biochem/physiol Actions

FBI-1/Pokemon is a BTB/POZ containing zinc-finger protein. It is predominantly expressed in a subset of T-cell lymphoma and B-cell lymphomas. It is also found in breast, lung, colon, prostate, and bladder carcinomas. It has capacity to bind the HIV-inducer of short transcripts (IST), thus called FBI-1. It was identified as a critical factor in oncogenesis and was called Pokemon (POK erythroid myeloid ontogenic factor). By binding to the tumor suppressor gene ARF, the Pokemon exerts its oncogenic activity.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, and 15 mM sodium azide.
