General description
Enables precise sizing of double-stranded DNA fragments when separated by agarose gel electrophoresis.
The 100 bp DNA ladder is generated from a DNA sequence engineered to provide stepwise increments of 100 base pairs in DNA strand length. Under standard gel electrophoresis conditions in agarose, approximately 20 bands will be resolved. Each band is 100 bp larger than the previous band, allowing for accurate size estimation within the specified range.
- Includes an 800 bp fragment with twice the intensity as the other bands to assist in size determination.
- Sufficient quantity for 50 loadings using 2 μl per well (excluding loading dye).
- Resolves 20 or more individual bands in 100 bp increments when run on a 1.5% agarose gel.
- Precise sizing of double-stranded DNA fragments between 100 and 2000 bp in length.
