Anti-CD221 antibody produced in chicken is suitable for western blotting analysis at a dilution of 1:500, for tissue or cell staining at a dilution of 1:200.
Biochem/physiol Actions
The insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) receptor is a protein on human cell surface. It activates mitotic division and inhibits apoptosis of cancer cells. IGF-1R may play an important role in tumor growth and metastasis through lymphatic pathway. It may act as a biomarker in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and may be useful in customized chemotherapy. IGF1R inhibitor may constitute an attractive modality for treating endometrial cancer. Mutations in the gene lead to abnormal functioning of IGF-I receptors. It has also been reported that mutated CD221 may retard intrauterine and subsequent growth in humans.
