Biochem/physiol Actions
Transcription factor E2F2 is a protein encoded by the E2F2 gene in humans. It is associated with the regulation of cell-cycle and blood pressure. E2F2 is a transcription factor that helps regulate the expression of a number of genes that are important in cell proliferation. The cell cycle progression is dependent on the transcriptional activity of E2F2 and are associated with pocket proteins that binds to DNA as a heterodimer of two distinct proteins. E2F-2 is functionally and immunologically associated with one of these two distinct proteins.
