Immunogen
Immunogen Sequence: GI # 5729850, sequence 345-353
Synthetic peptide sequence of guanine nucleotide binding protein (G protein), α inhibiting activity polypeptide 3.
Application
Anti-GNAI3 antibody produced in chicken is suitable for immunocytochemistry and western blotting analysis at a dilution of 1:500, for tissue or cell staining at a dilution of 1:200.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(k) subunit α is a protein encoded by the GNAI3 gene in humans. It is composed of α, β and γ subunits and mediates hormonal regulation of many membrane functions. GNAI3 subunit translocations to the cytoskeleton and its simultaneous inhibition indicates that the cytoskeleton might participate in the signaling process of human epithelial cells.
Physical form
Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.

Inhibitory G proteins (GNAI/Gαi) bind to the scaffold G protein signaling modulator 2 (GPSM2) to form a conserved polarity complex that regulates cytoskeleton organization. GPSM2 keeps GNAI in a guanosine diphosphate (GDP)-bound state, but how GPSM2-GNAI is generated or relates

The present results show that stimulation of Intestine 407 epithelial cells with LTD4 (Leukotriene D4) triggers a rapid activation of the pertussis-toxin-sensitive Gi3-protein and a simultaneous translocation of its alpha-subunits to a crude cytoskeletal fraction. The activation of G alpha

Hair cells detect sound, head position or water movements when their mechanosensory hair bundle is deflected. Each hair bundle has an asymmetric architecture that restricts stimulus detection to a single axis. Coordinated hair cell orientations within sensory epithelia further tune
