Gene Information
human ... TLR3(7098)
General description
Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) is a protein encoded by the TLR3 gene in humans. It is a member of the Toll-like receptor family localized in various intracellular structures such as endosomes and endoplasmic reticulum.
Application
Anti-TLR3 antibody produced in chicken is suitable for western blotting analysis at a dilution of 1:500, for tissue or cell staining at a dilution of 1:200.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) is mainly involved in both the innate and adaptive immune systems. TLR3 activation in the skin induces inflammation and increases the expression of genes involved in skin barrier repair while TLR2 activation prevents excessive inflammation by blocking downstream TLR3 signaling.
Physical form
Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.

Toll-like receptor-3 (TLR3) has been identified in a variety of intracellular structures (e.g. endosomes and endoplasmic reticulum); it detects viral molecular patterns and damage-associated molecular patterns. We hypothesized that, after white matter injury (WMI) has occurred, localization and activation of

UV radiation poses a significant risk to human health. The mechanisms that help repair UV-damaged cells have recently been more clearly defined with the observation that Toll-like receptor 3 can sense self RNA released from necrotic keratinocytes following UV damage.

Toll-like receptors (TLRs) take part in both the innate and adaptive immune systems. The role of the transmembrane domain in TLR signaling is still elusive, while its importance for the TLR activation was clearly demonstrated. In the present study the
