Biochem/physiol Actions
Lymphotactin (Lptn), a member of the C or γ subfamily of chemokines, is similar to members of the CC and CXC chemokine families, but lacks two of the four cysteine residues. Recombinant mouse lymphotactin has chemotactic activity for lymphocytes, NK cells, and mouse splenocytes, but not for monocytes or neutrophils.
Member of the C or γ subfamily of chemokines, is similar to members of the CC and CXC chemokine families, but lacks two of the four cysteine residues.
Physical form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution 30% acetonitrile and 0.1% TFA containing 1.25 mg bovine serum albumin.
Analysis Note
The biological activity is measured by its ability to chemoattract mouse BaF/3 cells transfected with hXCR1.

In recent years, human dendritic cells (DCs) could be subdivided into CD304+ plasmacytoid DCs (pDCs) and conventional DCs (cDCs), the latter encompassing the CD1c+, CD16+, and CD141+ DC subsets. To date, the low frequency of these DCs in human blood

In this study, the cytokine-producing profile of progenitor T cells (pro-T cells) was determined. During screening of a complementary DNA library generated from activated mouse pro-T cells, a cytokine designated lymphotactin was discovered. Lymphotactin is similar to members of both
