General description
E. cloni 10G Chemically Competent Cells are a derivative of E. coli that have been optimized for high efficiency transformation by heat shock. These cells are ideal for cloning and propagation of plasmid, cosmid, or fosmid clones. They can directly replace commonly used cloning strains, such as DH10B. E. cloni 10G contain inactive mcr and mrr alleles, allowing methylated genomic DNA isolated directly from mammalian or plant cells to be cloned without deletions or rearrangements. They give high yield and high quality plasmid DNA due to the endA1 and recA1 mutations. The rpsL mutation confers resistance to streptomycin.
Packaged as SOLOs (1 transformation per tube, 12 x40µl).

Application
Clone, construct libraries, transform Gibson Assembly reactions all with high-yield, T1 phage-resistant cells in high efficiencies for routine and challenging applications
Features and Benefits
- Optimized genetics for high yields: phage T1 resistant, endonuclease and recombination minus, blue/white screening-capable (without IPTG induction)
- Increase colony yields after Gibson cloning with E. cloni® 10G Chemically Competent Cells
- Replace standard cloning strains (e.g., OP10, DH5α, DH10B, XL1-Blue, etc.)
- Supports cloning of methylated DNA, BAC and Cosmid Cloning
Transformation efficiency: ≥ 1 x 109 (cfu/µg pUC DNA)
