General description
Endura Competent Cells are a commonly used strain for cloning sequences that suffer unwanted recombination events in other strains. Clones with inverted repeats or other sequences prone to recombination are commonly found in retroviral genes, and require cells such as Endura to be propagated stably.
Application
- Cloning and maintaining unstable or repetitive DNA sequences.
- Recommended for high efficiency propagation of GeCKO CRISPR libraries (1)
- Ideal for single-guide RNA lentiviral library construction (2)
Features and Benefits
- Clone repetitive sequences and lentiviral libraries
- Stabilize direct repeats and create lentiviral constructs
- Transformation efficiency: ≥ 1 x 1010 (cfu/µg)
- Genotype: Endura: recA13 supE44 ara-14 galK2 lacY1 proA2 rpsL20(StrR) xyl-5 λ– leu mtl-1 F– mcrB mrr hsdS20(rB–, mB–) Components: Endura Electrocompetent Cells; pUC 19 trasformation control; recovery media
