General description
Methoxypolyethylene glycol tresylate is a polyethylene glycol (PEG) derivative. PEGs are widely used as a covalent modifier of biologic macromolecules and particulates and for mechanism of drug delivery.
Application
Methoxypolyethylene glycol has been used in a study to assess the effect of PEGylation on Bacteriorhodopsin stability towards ethanol. It has also been used in a study to investigate hydrogel containing silica shell cross-linked micelles for drug delivery. It is also used for modification of proteins under mild conditions.
