Description

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to the cytoplasmic domain of human matrix metalloproteiase-16.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Recognizes native and reduced MMP-16. By immunoblotting against the reduced protein, the antibody identifies bands at 65 kDa and 63 kDa (pro-form and active form, respectively), as well as activation/breakdown products.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline containing 50% glycerol and 0.05% sodium azide.
