General description
Sigma has developed a variety of specialized media which are intended to provide optimal performance when utilized with specific cell lines. This product consists of 59 mL of HepaRG™ Pre-Induction Medium supplement which is added to basal media and other components listed below to produce 500 mL of complete media needed for induction assays with HepaRG™ cells. The final HepaRG™ pre-induction medium was developed specifically for use with Sigma′s human HepaRG™ control 5F Clone cells and various knockouts (KO).
Preparation Note
Prepare Pre-Induction Medium by supplementing 500 mL of William′s E Medium (W1878) ) with 5 mL of Penicillin-Streptomycin solution (P4333), 5 mL of GlutaMAX (Life Technologies 35050-061), and the entire Pre-Induction Medium Supplement (MTOXHPSUP). Complete Medium can be stored at 2–8 °C for up to 1 month. This medium is formulated for use with a 5% CO2 in air atmosphere.
Other Notes
Upon receiving a shipment of supplement(s) it is important the end user gives the shipment attention without delay. To ensure the highest quality of the supplement(s), upon receipt supplements should be immediately stored at –20 °C. Upon thaw, medium supplement will be clear to turbid. Upon addition to the Williams′ E Medium, medium should be clear.
