Oroxylin A is a flavonoid isolated from Scutellaria baicalensis, which is one of the most important medicinal herbs in traditional Korean/Chinese/Japanese medicine. It shows amelioration of Abeta(25-35) peptide-induced memory impairment.
Oroxylin A is a flavonoid isolated from Scutellaria baicalensis, which is one of the most important medicinal herbs in traditional Korean/Chinese/Japanese medicine. The amelioration of Abeta(25-35) peptide-induced memory impairment by oroxylin A is believed to be mediated via the GABAergic neurotransmitter system after a single administration, or by reductions in Abeta(25-35) peptide-induced astrocyte and microglia activations, iNOS expression, lipid peroxidation, and increased cholinergic neurotransmission after subchronic administration.

Oroxylin A, a flavonoid, is naturally produced in many medicinal plants. Our previous study identified it as a phytoestrogen. Based on this, the present study investigated its vasoconstriction reducing effects and whether the action was mediated by the estrogen receptor

Alpha-hemolysin (α-HL) is a self-assembling, channel-forming toxin produced by most Staphylococcus aureus strains as a 33.2-kDa soluble monomer. Upon binding to a susceptible cell membrane, the monomer self-assembles to form a 232.4-kDa heptamer that ultimately causes host cell lysis and
