General description

(P63) is a homologue of the (p53) family and encodes protein having similar amino acid sequence to that of( p53) transactivation domains, DNA binding domains, and oligomerization domains . It is highly expressed in basal or progenitor layers of epithelial tissues . Monoclonal anti-(p63) antibody can be used to study the molecular mechanisms by which (p63) can utilize dominant-negative and gain-of-function mutations involved in development. It can also be used in indirect ELISA and microarray. Mouse monoclonal anti-(p63) antibody reacts specifically with an epitope present in amino acids 1-205 of mouse Np63 isoform. It also reacts with (p63) in rats and humans.

Immunogen

recombinant N-terminal portion (amino acids 1-205) of mouse ΔNp63 isoform.

Application

Monoclonal anti-(p63) antibody can be used in immunoblotting, immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry. It may also be used for immunoprecipitation and western blot.
