General description

PP2A is a serine/threonine phosphatase that downregulates the MAP kinase pathway and subsequently modulates mitogenic signaling. This phosphatase also mediates Ras-1 activation, localization of Sgo1 at centromeres, and chromosome segregation . This enzyme primarily comprises of three components; structural subunit A, regulatory subunit B and catalytic subunit C. The scaffolding subunit A has 2 isoforms (α and β) that have been implicated in tumor suppression
Monoclonal Anti-Protein Phosphatase 2Aα (PP2Aα) antibody is specific for human PP2Aα (approx. 65 kDa) and cross-reacts with Xenopus laevis and mouse PP2Aα. The antibody epitope resides within repeat 1 near the N-terminus of human PP2Aα.

Immunogen

Purified human PP2Aα subunit

Application

Monoclonal Anti-Protein Phosphatase 2Aα (PP2Aα) antibody is suitable for use in western blot at a dilution of 1:250 using protein extracts from human mucosal and esophageal tumor tissues . The product may also be used for immunoprecipitation, microarray and indirect ELISA.

Protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) is a multimeric serine/threonine phosphatase that carries out multiple functions. Although numerous observations suggest that PP2A plays a major role in downregulation of the mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase pathway, the precise mechanisms are unknown. To clarify
